Vintage Jack LaLanne

.

Vintage Jack LaLanne on his
own TV show in the 1950s

One of our Charter Members of the MX1-MX3-MX7 and MX7 Express programs, Marcus Paul Gaston, sent me this link as he thought our members may be interested in a little vintage Jack LaLanne from his own TV show which started airing in the 1950s.

Jack LaLanne presented fitness and exercise advice on television for 34 years. "The Jack LaLanne Show" was the longest running television exercise program, running from 1951 to 1985.

The video in the above link details Jack’s 10 POINT SELF IMPROVEMENT PLAN for anyone seeking better health, super fitness and awesome wellness. Here are the 10 points explained by Jack at a thousand miles an hour! Great stuff:

> Exercise

> Nutrition

> Positive Thinking

> Good Habits

> Grooming

> Smile

> Posture

> Help Others

> Relaxation

> Faith

Jack LaLanne, who has been called the godfather of fitness, is now 96 years young and still going strong. Do yourself a favor and this week follow as many of his ten points as you can to see if you really can make a positive difference in your own health and wellbeing.

At the age of 96, Jack LaLanne continues to work out every morning for two hours. He spends an hour in the weight room and an hour swimming or walking or both. What a marvelous role model for us all to emulate.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!

Halloween, which was once a frightening and superstitious time of year, is celebrated in much of the world with trick-or-treating, costume parties, and fun for all ages. How times change!

The word ‘Halloween’ actually has its origins in the Catholic Church. It comes from a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve. November 1, "All Hallows Day" (or "All Saints Day"), is a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints.

At the MX1-MX3-MX7 and MX7 Express programs, we like to expound an empowering, positive, uplifting philosophy. So here as a celebration of Halloween are some delightful photos of babies with humorous captions. This has nothing at all to do with Halloween, but that’s alright as we can learn a lot from these babies.

Sleep as much as you want…

Read books that you enjoy…

Play with simple things…

Do whatever you want…

Look for affection when you need it…

Get serious once in a while…

Forget about diets…

Show some affection…

Get angry sometimes…

Change your looks once in a while…

Be happy and smile…

And have a great life!
